I got mine for around $280 at Daalder Exhaust in Preston here in Vic... So it's possible that a SA joint being in the same city as Pacemaker's factory should be able to do them at that price if you ask nicely

This is a good idea, I need some for my EA once it's RWC is done. I have found them for $327 online, $350 delivered. I have yet to check the wreckers tho, they told me they have a set, $110 - unsure of brand; but anything's got to be better than that stock cast iron choker!

if u want cheap but good, wildcats are the best, they are made by genie, and supply only $250. i was going to go with pacemaker, but when i saw the wildcats for that price i jumped at them. the torque goes up a fair bit too, but just remember u will need a new catalitic converter, because the extractors wont line up with ur old cat.

The Lukey extractors work very well on the 4.0 engines....We've done testing on the dyno compared to Genie and Pacemaker.....very suprising results. The Lukey made more power thru the rev range and only lost 1 or 2kw up top.

How would this work? WE all send our payment to them at the same time, and their delivered to our indvidual address's? Who's done a group buy before?

ALSO for those of us who still have the cast iron choker manifold fitted, we'll need a cat as another member previously mentioned. I already noticed this as you can see it in the engine bay, barely under the car! - funny spot. Wouldn't it be cheaper to get these from the extractor manufacturer than our local zorst shops' who'll be fitting them?

Sorry mate, you've misunderstood, lol fitting them was not the issue. I was asking;

1/ How do we pay, ie: all pay 1 member or send our payments to the header manufacturer at the same time, to obtain discount.

2/ Will the group purchase of headers be dispatched to the 1 member, or will pacemaker/Lukey send them to our own places.

i dont think pacemaker or lukey will send them out so i guess all pay 1 member to obtain discount. and they will send them out or arrange local pick up

3/ The last bit was suggesting we also buy a new catalictic converter from the place we buy the extractors, as it would be cheaper than buying one from the exhaust shop who will fit all the gear for us.

EDIT: Got it, cool we'll wait and see what they have to say. Cheers fella's.

Ok guys....Lukey Extractors in mild steel....$215.00, Lukey Extractors in Stainless...$260, Wildcats in mild steel....$230.........All these prices would be for a purchase of 5 or more sets as a group buy. If you went ahead with it they would be available for pickup in werribee or delivered for a resonable price. Also can arrange good pricing on High Flow cats etc.

Both Good, Wildcat's are a series manufactured by Genie Headers.

I'm thinking the Lukey's might be a goer, although I've still gotta check these headers from the wreckers. $215 for new Lukey's is a steal tho! Even $260 for s/steel. Are we asking too much if pics are available? ACtually, I'll check their websites..

Maybe budjet around $25 - $30 ppl's. I sold a pair of 4 cyl sigma/galant custom headers on ebay last year. It cost me $19.65 to post from Brisbane to Whyalla somewhere in SA via Registered Australia post.
