Default Exhaust Systems

Went down to the local exhaust place today and wanted to find out what will get my car sounding a bit more like a v8. Apparently im supposed to have 2 2.5 into a single muffler and extractors on my car (thats what the guy said who i bought it off). My car sounds OK, theres a bit off a hum but its nothing to get excited over.

So i went down to this exhaust place and the guy had a quick look at my car. He said that i have stock extractors but i have the twin 2.5 into a single muffler. he also said i needed high cat flows, to get the car sounding the way i want it.

Just need to know, whats the best way to going around to icreasing the sound? im most likely gona get pacemaker extractors but what else could i do?. Do i really need high cat flows? and also if i were to increse the resonator and tip size will that change the sound?

regards

Tip size wont help the sound, but all this sounds pretty expensive.. How much did you get quoted?

Bugger the highflow cats, pay a bit extra on labour for them to cut and hack the old ones to fit and you'll save heaps.

get some pacemaker extractors and your standard cats cut to fit. you could also get a smaller muffler fitted.
