Hey all, I've lowered my bad boy ED Fairmont using Kings Super Lows, I've got regular KYB shocks.
Currently I'm living the Turbo Blade 15" dream. Heres the question, I want to upgrade to some phat BF GT 19" (I want to get the 18" option though, because I don't want to go crazy!). Heres the question, do I need to roll the front guards to comfortably fit the BF GT rims?

I would say so... I need to roll the guards of mine when I lower it, and I'm only running 16X8" wheels.
Givin that the aftermarket wheels would be 8" wide, it would be wise to have them rolled.

I suggest roll the guards rather then bend/chip the paint and find out the hard way, they can be rolled without damaging the paint, I clip mine with stock rims and tyres at times.

yeh get them rolled/lipped. The previous owner of my car had the car sitting on super low king springs with 235 17inc tyres on the front and he managed to graze the front right wheel arch, by going to fast and turning up a steep driveway!. I have patched the graze up, but since that incident the previous owner chucked the car on pedders super lows, so it sits higher than the kings springs as well as folding the front wheel arches over.
I have 255's at the back and if i have to much weight in the back it rubs against the guard as the back isnt folded over!. So get it done and it will save you alot of trouble. |

how much does it cost to get the guards lipped/ rolled. is there any resprating involved?- i dont know what the actual process for this is

My gaurd lipping cost me nothing and about an hour of time.. lol.. go the hammer and block of wood..
I am running 245/35 R19's all round and only rarely hit the inner splash guard lining.. not the actual guard.. Good luck wit it.. Cheers, Nik

just use a heat gun so the paint dosnt crack but dont burn it
