When I was a kid back in the early 80's, I had an awesome poster of Moffat's XB Coupe on my wall. It was my pride and joy. We had the house painted and I never saw it again, probably pinched by one of the painters no doubt.
Anyway, I'd love to be able to track down another one! The photo was taken at Sandown in either '76 or '77. I have searched autopics.com.au and have found a similar one http://www.autopics.com.au/cache/ite....html?cache=no but the shot I had was more front on and closer up. I remember it had the 'Hang Ten' decal on it and that's how I worked out it was Sandown. I'd kill to find another one, or a link to the image somewhere! |

Still looking! The link in the above post was wrong, this is the pic. It's the 1976 Sandown Hang Ten, but my poster was more front on, taken from the inside of a corner and in colour.

I had a big purple one with Brocky and his GTR XU-1 Torana, I too wish I still had it.

Agreed !! It was when the V8 racing series ran cars that was actually representative of (homologated) production (showroom) models mechanically & visually, a far cry from the total formulaic farce we are subjected to now - yet which is presented as a Ford Vs Holden Vs Nissan etc thus by implication to the uninitiated as a reflection of a modified OEM GT Falcon / HSV etc. As a production car "motor Sport" (which it implies), the current iteration is an insult to the intelligence.
