Default Psp

I had a look at the PSP a few days ago and I'm very impressed. The graphics were awsome and the features. They'll cost $430 abd a game will be about $70 and $30 for DVD movies but these will get cheaper as time gose on. I know i'll get one buy the end of the year. There due out in Octber i think.

On that point how is it doing o/s ?

Most hand helds don't really last the distance. The Gameboy I guess is an exception.

Exactly. I've got a Sega Game Gear around somewhere (with the TV tuner cartridge and Master System cartridge adapter enabling it to play MS cartridge games), which was technically far superior to the Nintendo Gameboy (at the time, I mean the original Gameboy), however due to how quickly it drained batteries it was nowhere near as sucessful as the gameboy.

Regarding how it's doing overseas, what countrys has it been released in so far?

A guy at tafe already has one of these (international student), and I must say they look fantastic. I will almost definately get one once the price comes down a bit.
Sony have listed a lot of addons that 'could' be made for the PSP, and if they make all of them, it would be an awesome little gadget. GPS, TV, MP3, avi mpg etc.

There's actually an article in www.gamespy.com where they did a run down on the top 10 or so failed consoles and hand helds. There's some interesting reading on why some of them bombed.

Cool, any mention of the Game Gear, and do you have the URL? I can't find the article listed on the front page anywhere...

used one today, and played Ridge Racer...(was more shots of the chick then of the cars!) and it is damn sweet. The display is bigger then i'd expected, and it runs on not only SD or Sony Memory Cards, (Flash Memory, not PS2 Memory), but the games come on these disks which are called UMD's. They look very similar to regular MD's (circular case though) and must hold alot more. The sound is crisp. The only problem with it is that it looks a little fragile, and doesn't look like something you'd comfortably just dump into your pocket. If you're wondering, this one is owned by one of my friends at school, his parents sent it to him from China. (Who must have obtained it from Japan...all the games are in Japanese)
