Default Club Xmas BBQ - Sunday December 12

Rather than a Christmas dinner this year, we thought a casual BBQ lunch alongside Lake Burley Griffin would be the go.

There will be lots of room to mingle and fore kids to play so please feel free to bring the whole family along. Meeting point will be the rear of Old Parliament House at 11.30am for an 11.45am departure. Please BYO meat and alcohol – the club will provide bread, salads and soft drinks.

Hi guys,

I was looking forward to this as work has been VERY busy and this is just what I needed, some time out with the family.

Unfortunately, I'm on holiday from the 13th and projects due for completion by now will now be finishing on the 12th, keeping me at work over the weekend again, so I can't make this event either.

I'll be out of town for the Christmas lights cruise. Things look better for the first meeting back in Feb 2011 though!

Vic

Hi everyone,

The club will now be providing meat (sausages and steaks) for the BBQ, and we will also have soft drinks. If there is some other type of meat you’d specifically like, you’re probably best off bringing that with you.

Also, it would be appreciated if each family could bring a plate of something to share; this could be a salad or maybe a dessert.

Just explaining to the good peoples my absences.

I'd like to make this so will see how things are going over the weekend.

If it rains it will be like other BBQ we have. Even during the "drought" we could bring the rain!

The weather bureau currently has Sunday as being mostly sunny with a top of 24 degrees so looking pretty good.

Will keep an eye on it over the next couple of days and if it looks dodgy, we'll advise of alternative arrangements.

Hi Guys. Looks like a great event with some fantastic cars. What are your thoughts on a Ford lover with an AUII LTD (XR8 running gear and FPV F6 rims) turning up? I am still trying to work out my eligability to your club, but I would like to meet some like minded Ford lovers.

Stu in Stirling.

Fast XR , not sure where you were planning this for but just in case this is similar to my work xmas BBQ that we were going to have Saturday at Black Mountain .
The council has apparently shut the area down due to the effluent in the water .
May pay to check ahead .
