Default New E85 servo for North WesternSydney yay

As most in sydney know, E85 has been disappearing from servos.
North richmond... gone
richmond ...gone
(i live near windsor)

Finally the United just south of mcgraths hill has got E85 (windsor rd) . Its about half way between rouse hill and windsor and more importantly, its on the way to Putty road for all you weekend hoons cruisers.

unfortunately its probably got the E85 tax that united are charging for sponsoring super cars (heres a hint, stop sponsoring super cash, drop the price and we might start buying more

but still - its great for people in the northwest - now we just need a servo on the north shore selling it (around hornsby for my trips up old pacific hwyrd).

BTW, I stored E85 in a drum for over 8 months - super air tight. was fine when i checked it. I was talking to an engineer as i was always told e85 doesn't store well. He said that is because people that work in servo's arnt engineers. (i used to work in one so no offence intended).

Any way, he said the Ethanol would store heaps better than the petrol as long as its sealed well and doesn't get moisture in it. He said petrol on the other hand will deteriorate on its own and accelerates with just air present. Mine was a little discoloured and he assured me that was the petrol ageing not the ethanol. if it was pure ethanol it would be clear as a bell (and showed me a bottle of ethanol on his shelf that was probably over 10 years old (clear and pungent)

any way - yay for us.

United don't sponsor the Supercars anymore, the fuel is supplied by Shell

I heard the Shell Racing fuel is just rebranded / sponsored United E85.
E85 is still sold at Hamilton (inner Newcastle) as I checked it a few days ago.

Would only ever consider E85 if I brewed it myself, why pay taxes and a premium for what is essentially fermented sugar ?
