Default Presents

Whats everyones honest opinion on the following?

(first senario)
Your girfriend goes overseas, and the only present she gives you is the same present she gives her boss, and to add to further insult its she really hates the boss???

(second senario)
Your girlfriend wants to give you a watch. but this watch was meant to be for her previous boyfriend but that relationship ended and she never had a chance to give it to him?? Take it or tell her to keep it as it was never intended for you in the first place and you should'nt take hand me downs from your partner??

Opinions anyone??

Take the present and hand it over to your boyfriend, and then just describe her as your fag hag.

If it bothered me too much about the watch (i think it would bother me) i'd just explain the situation to her politely and see what she says. If she was an twat about it, it would give me a better idea of what kind of person she was.

Mate Here sone advice from an old bull. A bull who has been in many paddocks (including some really amazing ones) and now settled very happily with the enviable dream wife.

Open the door for her when she gets in the passenger side. If she in turn reaches over to open your door before you get to the other side, she's worth thinking further about.

Might be a keeper.

If she doesn't it is a sign of things to come.

Keep doing the door thing (and other gentlemanly things) without letting on.

If she still doesn't respond the right way after numerous times, talk to her and see how she reacts.

Or you could just take the watch and prove all men are b's.

i hate how i can always relate . i have lived a while though , so i guess that is why. a watch arrived from overseas for my wife from a work friend of hers . it was his dead grand mas watch. and aparantely he didn't have anyone special to give it to so he gave it to my wife because he thought she was nice . i brushed it aside for a whole . i dont know 8 hours . then left her .
she sent the watch back and then i came back . so i know how you feel. but seriously . just chill. if continual things like this happen then keep reading post #18

Yeah, your girlfriends cheap, or she doesnt quite feel they way you do and its a matter of giving presents, for simply giving presents.. theres no thought in it, and no emotion at that.

On what Munroman said.. basically, you keep opening doors, paying for dinner, etc etc and she doesnt try to have it any other way.. take the watch and her into cash converters.

I think that it's a bit harsh! What did you get her for a last gift? Maybe it's payback? Girls normally love shopping....of any kind! Heck. I even go car parts shopping if it means I can shop!!

What would I do?....get another girlfriend....this one isn't a keeper.

I have been in exactly the same situation. My English born (ex)girlfriend had saved for some time to go 'home' for 3 weeks. During this time I paid for heaps of stuff when we went out because she was saving her cash...(and I was doing a lot of my thinking with the little head...)

So while she was away no phone calls and no postcards (pre email days).... 3 weeks turned into 4 and a bit weeks without telling me (hello?) and all I got a frikken t-shirt from her when she got back. Seperation did not make her heart grow fonder obviously and when confronted she had p1ss poor reasons for her lack of human decency to the BF who had helped her have her trip....she actually got flicked at that confrontation and haven't looked back.

Scenario 1 confuses me lol. Why is your girlfriend handing out presents before she leaves? Meant to give presents when you get back no?

Scenario 2 is simple. Just tell your girlfriend that although it's a nice gesture, you're offended & explain why. She's your partner so you should be able to talk about things honestly. How long ago did she buy the watch? If she has the receipt, perhaps she can take you to the store and swap it for something you would like or tell her to pop it on Ebay. If it sells, she can buy you something else. She may not even realise that offering it to you may have offended you. She probably thought you might like it. Unless you talk to her you won't know. If it were me I'd politely say that I was offended and explain why. Simple

Isn't that the wrong way 'round? She benefits from that. It would be her motive not his lol. He's not the one giving her the watch lol.

That remind me of a mate of mine that was in the army, he called GF .05 I spent weeks wondering why he called her that. I finally asked him..... his answer, "oh, she's the bag I blow in when I'm P****d" I felt sorry for her, she was really quite a nice person.

As to the original post.... get a new girl freind. Preferably one that has a sence of a relationships value.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
And i wouln't be taking the watch, no way! it would probably remind her of the ex every time she looked at it.

Just a question, did she brake it off or the ex? im guessing the ex as she had bought him a watch. Id be a little concerned
