Jared If ya free on the weekend I can have a look at it for you, I'm wrecking a complete EB so partrs will be cheap provided it's not the headgasket.

Come on mate, just because there are a couple of problems you don't throw the car away! Imagine it was a BA or something out of warranty, you'll be up for twice as much! And yes I have seen a few BAs blow head gaskets!

no need to get upset, no one's having a go at you. simply saying not many people are going to be able to lend you their car! have you checked for blockages in the radiator ? i used to have an el i6 that was overheating like all hell in traffic. ended up being a 75% blocked radiator, and the relay for the thermo's was fried. It never blew smoke though, i'd say yours could be a gasket of some sort, not necessarily the head gasket though.

gasket :\

if it's oil that's burning, and it's overheating & bubbling the coolant... sounds like a head gasket :\

get au engine for $500 mate - you'll need to do a few things to get it running properly though. replacement 4.0 motors eb-el must be available for a couple of hudnred surely ? whereas head gasket will cost you over a grand. you need to find someone with a hoist/knowledge to help you though.

$1001 :P

Dont sell it, its an easy fix compared to selling the car for peanuts and getting something else.

A head gasket to get done by a pro will be $6-700.

A new wreckers motor done by the E series boys could be done for $500.

Au motor requires a $200 tensioner setup to use your manifolds with AU accessories or heaps of grinding to use your accessories so it might end costing a fair bit more than a replacement EB-ED motor.

Lol at $100 for wheels, good luck.
