Who listens to this station?
I love it. Listen to it in the dairy for 4 hours a day and in the tractor for maybe another 3 and also in the car. My fav programs are super request, ross and terri, short fast loud and full metal raquet. The best thing about it is no advertising at all. What about everyone else? Also just while i'm here did anyone know George Foreman has no fingerprints? He got stopped going into the states at their finger print scanners at customs |

These days the music is a bit too broad a range now - to hear 1-2 good songs I now have to listen to 10 of them. I'd rather just listen to my CDs. |

Used to occassionally but now I get Howard Stern's radio show daily and throw it on my ipod. Haven't listened to Australian radio since.

Triple J sucks. I like NOVA I can already hear all you Triple J listeners yelling "You've sold out to commercialism Doug! Your just a follower!" ;)

It's one of the only few decent radio stations left (Fox and Nova suck, especially if you have to listen to the repeated diarrhoea for a working day).

If i listen to the radio - it's the J's. But unfortunately they dont cater to my style of music... with the exception of short, fast, loud (mandatory listening as far as im concerned).
They've had some great hosts over the years - m & r, jay and the doktor, chris and craig (the CNNN guys prob the funniest blokes in australia as far as im concerned). But yeah - no advertising is JJJ's main selling point for me. And i cant stand top 40 rap/hip hop/dance/woos rock.

imo triple j has gone a bit backwards over past five years. i swear there's times over the christmas break when i'm in my work van (that only has radio) and they will play the same song over a three day period at roughly the same time each day. they don't play the variety they used to, and i think the tracks on high rotation are on too high rotation. but hey, they're the only decent station i'd listen to on FM, besides classical FM when i'm trying to study/sleep. in my daily drivers i'm always listening to cds or mp3s. hope you've all voted in the hottest 100. any hot tips?? i'll have to say either something by wolfmother, bernard fanning or 'gold digger'. not really my favourite tunes of the year but i think they will have the jjj listening public backing.
cheers.

I'll listen to the J. It's nice when a station plays an 'artists' song that's popular but than will play another one of their songs unlike the commercialized stations that will destroy every song by playing it over and over and over again till you want to hang yourself.
I mainly listen to CD's as there is too much talking on the radio. Only bad thing about the J is they're playing too much rap and hip hop, but listeners must seem to like it. Has anyone noticed that triple M is stating to sound more like Nova than a rock station or have they always played pop rock?? |

I hate JJJ, Bong head bogan crap that I never know. I don't like Fox and Nova much bar breakfast, otherwise their music is far too commercial and repetitive.

JJJ is a damn good radio station.
As for 'bong head', go back to Coma.. Home of non-stop repetative pop rock from Disc Jocks with soft coc_cks. Coma, they were a top 40 radio station, 'till they realised 40 songs was just TOOO many for a playlist.. |

Honestly there is only a certain amount of missy higgins, bob marley (john butler trio) tribute bands that I can handle in the space of 20 minutes ( and thats on both JJJ and other stations)
Thats why i listen to 3AW in the truck most of the days. Wish it could go back like it was 5 years ago!!!! |

i used to listen to jjj during work but the music just got too depressing and they talk too much sh*t on there. i listen to all types of music and some of the stuff they play i dont mind but its just not a good station to listen to while working i reckon. i know im gonna get flamed but the top 40 stations are heaps better to listen to even if they are repetitive.
