Hello All,
As I am fairly new to Australia & not quite up to speed on used car sale prices, I’m just wondering of anyone knows what would be the going rate for my car if I were to try and sell it privately. It’s a red, 5 door hatch LR Focus Zetec which has covered approximately 42,000kms. On the options front, it has the Ford factory fitted body kit, Ford 17” MP3 wheels, Ford roof spoiler, ST170 clear side repeaters & maximum legal window tint. Apart from that it is totally standard & also has full Ford service history. Any thoughts on what would be a realistic selling price if sold privately would be welcome. Thanks Kirkr99 |

I look at the website www.redbook.com.au regularly for research. There are lots of others out there though! Hope this helps you.

I'd probably start at $17499 and be prepared to accept offers around 16K.
I bought a 2003 Zetec with 38Kms 18 months ago for 17K, but it's rego was due the next day, so make that $17,600. New cars are cheap these days and so resale on the 2nd hand market is also suffering. Also, LS Focus can be picked up for less than $20K. MK |
