Default New Car Help Please Felas!

The guys.

I need a new car. I also want a new car just getting bored of the old VC time for a change. But im stuck because i want something probably in the 16`s down the quater as the VC does 19...But the old VC is 75bucks to fill and i only get 350kms out of her.

So i want RWD, Manual, And better fuel econ than what the old girl gives me. I also have a budget probs 5k max maybe $5,500....Wouldn`t mind a Silvia Turbo but they have all had the balls ripped off them the poor things.

Im really stuck. Wouldn`t mind a manual falcon on gas but thats like trying to find a needle in a hey stack. And a manual falcon there like 90bucks to fill up and you only get like 400-450 out of a tank which is worse than the VC.

So any ideas for me guys? Cheers.

This would be perfect, 162kW Tickford engine being a Fairmont Ghia, should be able to bargain him down to at least $5500 etc. Only thing it hasn't got is the manual part.

There's not much in the way of manual that I'd call any good. You could get your basic standard EF/EL (157kW 4.0, somewhere mid 16s etc etc).

If you can forget the manual thing, I think that Ghia is a very good car.

what on earth are you on about ? Manuals have better economy on average, unless it's a ZF auto being compared. $90 to fill up ??? i honestly don't know what you're talking about.

My NF V8 cost me $70 to fill up last night (premium unleaded @$1.30/litre!!)
And I get to quarter full after around 450k's, at which time I will refill.

If you want something cheap to run that does well down the 1/4 mile, then get a 1000cc jap bike...

I'm selling my Silvia turbo at the moment if you wanna PM me

Otherwise, yeah I'd look at an E-series if you want a Ford.
