Default Toyota T50

Chaps,

My first post, thanks for letting me tag along.

I'm considering popping in a toyota T50 gearbox in a mk. II ford escort panel van running a 1600 crossflow.

How involved is the process? I've tried finding links on the forum but have come up short.

All advice gratefully accepted.

Cheers.

Bell housing, clutch plate, pressure plate, modified thrust bearing, speedo cable, modified cross member should be about it.
Someone probably sells it all.

I'll let you know...once I pick up the car. I've just recently bought the panel van and I'm a little green behind the ears about it all. So, I'm doing my research.

I'll let you know once I go get her.

yes ..do a lot of research about this power train set up you like

these escorts did have a 2 ltr motor fitted

the diffs are very good

1600 cross flow a grunt motor

with a 4 speed box its still ok

still looking at this question of the T50
http://www.gearboxconversion.com/Toyota_T50.html

with the T50 box you might need a custom drive shaft built .... not sure myself .

you might want a brake upgrade later .
.only drums at the back small disc at the front and struts set up
