Default Front End

Hey guys.

I needed an opinion of somthing. As u can see from the pic, my cars front end isnt in the best of conditions and rather than replace it with another standard bumper, i wanted to get the rest of the TS50 kit for the car. I was checking out the bumpers on AWC and i noticed 2 choices. U can either get the whole front end with the new grille between the headlights or you can just get the bumper without the grille. But i was thinking with my ghia the chrome front end looks good and it would be a shame to get rid of the centre grille. So i was thinking just the bumper. But anyway what do you guys rekon?

Oh and sorry the cars so dirty, i swear ill clean it as soon as i get a chance!?!

Thanks

I reckon get the lower half, keep your grill, get the side skirts too and then lower it some more and it will be lookin' hot!

Are those wheels 17's or 18's?

I think those wheels are the same as mine, Speedy Spyders.. they would have to be 18s.

Thanks for the help guys!

Yea there 18s. The plan was to get the kit then work out how low i want to go from there. the springs are from a AU xr6, thanks to xr6007 for those :P. For those who have lowered there car you would know what im talking about, but for those who havent, omg even 3cms makes a HUGE difference. Im driving the car like i never have before its unbelieveable.

Yea i like the bumper idea, i think ill change the black grille and put the chrome parts back on to a different style.

So you rkn just the bumper? What do other people think, any other ideas?

i found this horrible front end for the AUs on ebay. Looks like they pulled it straight off a supra and stuck it on a ford.... looks sooo bad.

If you go the full TS50 bar, replace the chrome strip on the bonnet with a body coloured one. IMO it doesn't look right with the T3 grill.

im divided now. I read a post from casper, talking bout weight and how hed rather put something to make the car faster in. And that got me thinking. My throttle response is average and now i dont know whether to get a nice kit or a chip. oh its sooo hard. I wouldnt mind a chip so then the car would be more fun to drive, but then again i wouldnt mind a kit to make the car cooler. At the moment im leaning towards chip, but i dont know haha.

Well, each to their own but i can't see the point in wasting thousands on these cars when they only go marginally quicker. :

if you wanna go quick, sell the AU and buy a V8, or something with a turbo or 2 bolted on.

The answer is simple.

If you have the money, then spend it as you only live ONCE.

Now you need to decide between Bling or Grunt. Noone can make that choice for you.

Ive chosen Interior Bling first (ever so slowely), then the Grunt and maybe Bling.

yea thats fair enough. It is a personal choice. But i think the true person in me isnt to show off, but to enjoy the drive and enjoy handling the car. I might look futher into a chip.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Look further than a chip, and go the flash tuner.

Looks like another Casper Convert - though I think the Bucky Bling Brigade is still in front!

You gonna hve to give me a run down on a flash tuner. lol take into account a first year apprentice wages lol. All i want is a better throttle response and better fuel economy, anything else i suppose is a bonus. power etc etc.

its about $1000 from anywhere that sells them, with basic generic tunes.

some places like Autotech (site sponsor) only sell them with a custom tune, for $1600

basically it reprograms your ECU. you can revert it back to stock tune anytime as well with the box.
