Default my move from SA to QLD

well i finally got the internet back on so i thought id let you all know how my baby went with her overloaded trip from Adelaide to Bundaberg!

firstly decided to pack everything me and the g/f own on an 8x5 trailer... no mean feat! ended up packed solid with all our crap and ended up standing nearly 8 foot high! also filled the boot and back seat of my baby (EF XR6 manual) and set off!

well the trailer certainly helped the car gobble up the fuel and i ended up getting around 380 kms from a tank of fuel...

we covered over 2700 kms on our jaunt across australia, and even being overloaded the only problem i had was when one of the thermo fans let loose and put a hole in the radiator! luckily the guy in Glenn Innes had a new radiator for an ef there! ended up driving the rest of the trip with only one thermo fan working and the other in pieces in the boot!

the car handled well even tho it was vastly overloaded! it never overheated, except when the radiator got damaged, and have nothing but praise for the car!

anyways i have set up home at Moore Park up here just out of bundy, i say farewell to the SA guys and a warm hello to any E series guys near me!

At least you got there in one piece lol.
I bet there are a few of those 'horror yet possibly funny in a few years' stories you could tell.. :monkes:

It sounds like there are a few of you guys in Bundy (or surrounding areas) to organise cruises etc.. I think there are a few members of the XR6 & XR8 Club of Qld up that way somewhere too (no, I dont remember who or where - hopeless I know)...

Good luck to you both, hope the move is everything you wanted it to be.

You are now part of the official SA "go for an interstate cruise and end up breaking ИИИИ club"

No one can venture from SA without their car dieing in the ИИИИ some how.

Well i can think of 2 BTR's one which was SPECTACULAR
the shagging of another BTR (mine)
The crashing of a hire car
The near miss with a tree in another hire car
A brake rotor being smashed into the bonnet of an EB
etc
etc

the list goes on
