i did mine. y not DIY? bout $70 for mine including checker plate n carpet....

yeah 18mm from bunnings and got them to cut the majority of it. $14 labour i think it was... pva glued all joins then used 22mm self tapping screws.
had to cut angled ends myself

Fish if you want it done proffesionaly give Eastside Installs a call. Doug runs it and he is the one who installed my system, he knows his stuff and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I'll show you my system on tuesday.

have you got the manuals for the subs?
have a good look in there. you will find tested box sizes & shapes (well kicker supplies diagrams in manuals) secondly a fair bit of trial & error is needed once you have the rough box size & shape. as your ears & listening style will be different to everyone elses. ohh and dont foreget to rip up on old pillow. (you want the insides) spread evenly between the 2 boxes. you want between 40% & 60% of the sub box filled with pillow insides (cant member the stuffings name). ohh and make sure you put a mass devider between the subs. itll sound better. bradman |

it adds depth to the box.
it is supposed to make a physical 100L box a theoritical 125-150L box. it is supposed to give better bass. i cant say wether or not it makes a difference as ive never run a sub without it in there. its a recommended thing to do wid kickers. and im pretty sure JL says you should do it to. bradman |
