i have just bought a 98 au xr sedan, black. it has hit a kangaroo on the front right so the front bar is damaged, front quarter panel and also has scratches down the left side.
i bought it for 1500. the plan was to use it as parts for my my 99 au fairmont ghia that i just bought too, as they are both black this AU xr has a sunroof, 17inch wheels, vct 6 cyl, irs, 4 speed auto, 6 disc stacker, all 4 electric windows. seems to be machanically alright, its got 171k on the clock. worth just wrecking and selling parts off or trying to repair it and sell it off complete?? just don't know which way to go.....

this is the v8 fairmont that i bought, see i was planning to use the sunroof in this, the rear stuts are buggered in the fairmont and the ones in the xr are good, then maybe look at repairing the front bar and putting it on the fairmont but i think that i like the series II & III xr front better.
i'll be picking up the xr in the next couple days so i'll post pics of it

if the only thing that needs fixing is the front bar and qtr panel, source them and paint, could turn a tidy little profit. Couple of thousand you would think
