Default Sound like the fuel sender??

hey everyone, this has been happening for a while now, when i turn the ignition on, the fuel gauge needle rises to the full mark then when it hits that, it drops straight to dead empty. im pretty sure it sounds like a sender but id like to get some other opinions before i fork out for one.

just on that subject, any thought about how much one would cost? would repco stock them?

thnks, bender

yeh dude mine used to do exactly the same. then after i changed the fuel pump it now goes up to just under full. it'll be the sender float thing but i never gave much a shit. i know how much fuel was in there thanks to the trip meter.

mine did that when i put in a new pump with a faulty sender... so i swapped the good sender with the bad pump and the pump from the asesmbly with the bad sender to have a good working combo
