Default FG mkII Falcons on Carsales

Been looking around on carsales to see what there is in the last hour, and decided to see if/what is there FGII-wise... dunno if anyone has posted this before or not.

I'm liking the FGII! Can't wait till the local dealer gets some...

G6E-T looks pretty good actually ... the lower grille looks massive though.

Observation: That's a lot of grill/plastic covering the intercooler on the XR6T. Pretty stealthy, but will it harm the efficiency of the cooler?
An honest question that I hope doesn't result in world war 3

I think the G6ET, the sunburt XR6, and the Kinetic XR6T in the showroom all look fantastic, I'll bet these cars look better in the flesh. So far I'm impressed...

I don't think it will. In the metal (plastic maybe?) it looks very open around the grille area, it's not as chock full of solid plastic as it appears when you look up close.

I'm sure they tested all that anyway.

They should have added the trim around the handbrake from the SZ Terry on the FG's...or a version.

Observation, they are not all mark II's. you would think a car dealer would know what they are advertising.

you would think, but sadly no.

on sunday me and another member went into bryan bryt ford in capalaba, hoping to see some fg2's, none in the yard so we asked the salesman. 'yup, we have a demo fpv fg2 out the back' so out we trot only to see a fg1 gs

I don't know if it is just me but the shape of the lower grill on the G series looks out of place with the rest of the face of the car.

There will be a lot of people getting the XR6T fog light surrounds and putting them on XR6's eventually. It does look a tad bland with the black plastic foggy surrounds.

The more dealer experience you get, the more you'll expect this type of incompetence. What ever happened to employing people with a passion for what they're selling??

Don't trust them... enough said.

It is annoying to see FG's labelled FGII's... but I'm glad there are FGIIs around now! Unfortunately, my local dealer here in Busselton, says mid-Jan is the earliest they'll have any! Grrrrrrrrr, don't even know what they're getting... Hopefully something good...

Funny how a few photos taken by sales yard staff look much better than Ford's own big dollar media shots. Some of those photos have changed my opinion somewhat on the new G series front end.

Not a fan of the XRs interior being grey. I like the black interior on my FG. Goes well with the blue console and dash lights. The grey looks a bit cheap in my opinion.

It looks like Ford have made the XR dashboard somewhat more ligible, which is good news:

And the new ICC display module looks massive in comparison to the FG's:

another relevent question . the touchscreen . do we need screen protector stickers for those ???

Has the FGII even been released yet ? officially ? nothing in the media stating theres a new falcon out . just seems not right . but really i'm asking as i dont know ?

I ordered an FGII XR6T with expected delivery between christmas and new year. Due to the hail storm in VIC the dealer says the vehicles are being held either at ford or the toll holding yard untill Ford decide what to do.

Now im stuck without a car and no word on when i will take delivery of my new one.

I'm guessing it's been released... I think EcoLPI and 4cyl Falcons are to be released later...

I'm collecting a XR6 MK2 ECOLPi on Tuesday for one of our Exec Manager's at work.
I ordered it early December.

Ghiaman: Okay, must just be the 4cyl that's coming later... I'm really interested to see how the EcoLPi cars go in the long run.

Cam: I reckon that grille will grow on ya eventually. I already like it, especially on the G6ET. Guess they will always be some of us who like and dislike it.
