I'd go the grange mostly because it would be the rarest of the three, and possibly the cheapest to maintain.

Have you driven the SRT8?
I rented a new 300 C 3.6L recently while on holidays and found it to be woeful, considering the external size it had a cramped foot-well, the 8 speed auto was jumping all over the place, foot brake had a ton of play in it, handled like a boat, switchgear felt cheap and sloppy - even with the Hemi there is no way I could own one of them. |

Three V8 Sedans and that's where the similarities end.

What are your thoughts? You're the one willing to lay down up to $70k here.
What do you need in a car, and what are your pros and cons with each? |

Grange would get my vote. Mainly because if something broke I'd probably have to sell a child to pay to fix it with the others....

If I was willing to spend up to $70k on a daily driver I'd be looking at a new car with warranty.
Plenty of variety available in that price range. |

Get the grange as it won't f you in the rear when things decide to go wrong. Past bmw parts experience tells me to steer clear of most bmws when there older, second hand. Same would apply to the Mercedes, and the Chrysler, meh its nothing special. I'm a ford man but the grange has the goods in this case. Gets my tick for parts availability and also being a local car. Plus its got pretty up to date tech also.

Out of those 3?? Id go the C63, epic cars those...
But for $70oddk, I would be at a HSV dealer trying to get a mad deal on an VF2 Clubby R8, or even the SV (limited edition with the 340kw LS3) can be had for less than $70k...

Others are nice but no way I would be risking them out of warranty.
I went GT-E and a Grange is only other one I would look at secondhand to be honest. C63 had massive engine failure rate in earlier ones too, probably cost more than another C63 to fix... STR-8 is completely unappealing to me these days, reckon they have aged terribly. Now when they bring Challenger SRT-8 Down Under it will be a different story! C63 would be great if you had the 25k spare laying around for if something goes bang in a big way. I think at that budget though I would be looking to bargain on a new HSV wagon with all the fruit as a practial fun everyday ride. If you can't get one of those low enough then a new SS-V wagon with as much on it as you can get. I think at that budget that would get my coin, but a new Focus RS would be tempting too.

Buy a near new FG turbo, or something like a VF SSV for much cheaper than your originals... Would be under factory warranty and much cheaper than any you mentioned long term. Granges drive like boats and thats the best of the 3 you have.

Jeep GRAND CHEROKEE SRT new or demo. You'll get a huge discount at the moment, but you'll need every bit of the factory warranty from what I've heard......

These 2 below are what I would be looking at assuming you've ruled out the F6 and GT335.

Out of those options I'd go the Grange but I think for the money you have plenty of options including new or near new.

Failed to mention I have a FGX- xr8 Sprint in the garage. I am leaning toward the grange as most have said , luxury, cheaper/reliable and goes well.
Have heard about the engine drama with c 63's however also been told that was fixed in 2010. going to drive a SRT tomorrow

Then definitely go for the Grange. Or take all three for a drive and decide. Don't forget to give us a review and comparison 😉

A 9/10 C63 M/Benz with 70km is past is use by day date & @ $55K would be a very risky gamble. Definitely go the Grange.
