Lightbulb Bottom end

How much for a reconditioned EF block? I can buy one for $150 from the wreckers with less than 200,000kms but i'd rather get one reco'd already and do a straight swap. My mate's car has a good reco'd head already and i don't wan't to stuff around with an AU bottom end as it would be a bit of stuffing around, rather have a simple straight swap. He wants to freshen up his high km motor and i'm going to give him a hand, just need a little advice first. Thanks.

He already has a rebuilt head, i'm talking about the bottom end man.

He got quoted around $1300 or something for a reconditioned EF bottom end with sump and new conrods and pistons but no water pump etc. I want to find a cheaper solution than that. Since low kms EF bottom ends are not too hard to find i may try that, after all the wreckers only charge around 200-300 bucks for a second hand short motor but how do you really tell if it's low kms?
