Got a problem with a 09 fiesta zetec, opened the car yesterday and got in and everything went dead, no lights on the dash at all, checked the battery and fuses and all ok... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure the battery is at full capacity? This sort of thing happened to me once in my old Focus. After a couple of minutes, it started again as per normal, and the problem never recurred. Then, a few weeks later the battery failed altogether one morning. I guess it had just enough juice up to that point to start, and the previous failure was a warning (that I failed to heed).

Yeah tried a multimeter on the battery, all good, if it was the immobiliser playing up would it kill all power or just stop the car from starting???

If battery is fine and there is cabin lights/headlights working then it may be an immobiliser issue. If everything is dead including cabin lights, no dash lights etc check the battery terminals to the car to see if anything has come loose
