Default Genuine Focus Sat Nav

This is a bit of a bargain.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Sat-Nav-F...item35ac622c6b

and this

and this

and this

If bids are low, I'm sure it will come in under AUD$1K, and you wont need to worry about duty etc.

I have looked into genuine units for the Mondeo.

No one has been able to answer me if you will be able to get Aussie maps working on these.

Anyone know?

I cant see why not Warren.

These units were based on CD technology, way before SDs and USBs of reasonable
speed and capacity were available. They go back to 1999 BMWs!!

There isnt anything special about the maps etc, you can download them (legally or illegally) burn them and play away. You just need to find out the format.

The two units attached with the more modern (silver) look I believe have SD card slots
either at the rear or behind the front bezel. So not easy to update.

I have a lot of info on these somewhere, so I'll find it matey, and post it. Mainly in PDF format. Lots of diagrams for wiring up and splicing looms etc. Hang tight.

leaky that would be great.
The new Sat Nav (item 2) has the built in climate control. Which makes me think it would fit into the Mondeo.
I have seen a Mondeo one up on ebay - they wanted 1500 pounds however! That is a big gamble to take on an item may not work.
