Pffft...makes no difference.

People will still be jerks and drive with a mobile in their hand while driving. I see people driving out of shopping centres talking on their mobiles while driving, driving out of McDonald's etc.

Just finish the conversation then drive.

But people are stupid.

I think we need harsher penalties for people continue to disregard the safety of others.

You've twisted your opening statement for starters. Go back and read the page. It states that hundreds of people die on australian roads each year, and that a percentage of them a due to the use of mobile phones.

And exact numbers? The only numbers i could see were approximate uk fines, and the cost of the aussie fine.

It's not the most well written exposition, and doesnt reallt provide any facts, just someones opinions and observations.

What about ******* driving with headphones in their ears listening to ipods??!! Ever come across them in traffic? There's no fine for that, and i reckon thats just as dangerous, if not more.

Is spellcheck 'extreamly' dangerous too?

As for the info, who would have actually believed that huNdreds of people would die on Aussie roads in accident caused by moible phone usage! LOL.

Under the site terms and conditions I知 not able to be rude or disrespectful to you, Ericyum, so I WILL NOT SAY that you're full of s**t, however, I wonder what your angle is on this subject?

Are you a would be politician or do you sell Bluetooth headsets for mobile phones?
