Caravans cruising in right lane doing 70 in a 110 zone not ideal either! Causes traffic problems too as people get frustrated and do stupid things

Road Snails aka Caravan and campervans. Travel 20 to 30Km/h below speed limit on open highway but maintain doing 80 through town with 60 limit, have "Bill and Jill CH40" on the back, never answer when you call for clearance to pass or advise you would like to pass.

Idiots who do way below the speed limit on open roads but speed up if you go to overtake.

haha!

Yep on Midland highway (Tassie...single lane mostly) that's exactly what happens.

Sit at 90 in 110 zone then an overtaking place arrives they speed up to like 130 (I'm not losing my license to go faster than that) then go back to 90.

Infuriating!!!!

Yes Caravans do that here too.

In a 100 zone do 70 then in a 50 zone......yep still doing 70.

When you obviously go out of your way to accommodate another drivers foolishness or just doing something to help them out and they don't give you the thank you wave...

Should be $350 and 2 points...

People who sit in the right hand lane that are oblivious to the fact they are doing under the limit.

People who overtake going 1km faster than the person they are overtaking.

People who brake before indicating.

People who do 95 on a single lane highway then jump up to 105 when an overtaking lane opens up.

Braking heavily in traffic at last second in a tiny car with brand new brakes as didn't watch traffic (probably on phone) and some of our big boys simply can't do it really ****es me off also.

Why I give even more space that usual these days

off we go....

people who jump lanes at the lights so as to be first, but accelerate as if they have a half brick under the pedal
people who indicate right approaching a roundabout but go straight on (yes, i know that used to be the law a million years ago)
people who don't indicate left when exiting a roundabout
people who are incapable of feeding in the pedal when going up a hill to keep the speed and who end up barely making it over the top
people who accelerate when the overtaking lanes come along
people who refuse to believe they are the ones the slow vehicle pull ins are for
people who don't turn their lights on in poor visibility, but also don't dip their main beam when there is oncoming traffic
people who use fog lamps as driving lamps
people who don't turn off their rear fogs when there is someone right behind them
people who do 80 everywhere. in the 100 zone and also in the 60 zone
people who don't speed up or slow down when merging onto a highway. why is it my job to get out of their way?

is that enough? I've got more

OoooooOOOOOOooooooh...

My one and only paid-for lesson in driving (it was the mid-to-late 80's) had the teacher asking me do you do that (indicate left exiting)? I said yeah, she said "who exactly do you think will see the indicator flashing?"

So I indicate left if going left, don't indicate if going straight, indicate right if turning right (but turn it off early so no-one waiting to enter on the right side gets confused since they are the important drivers to help out here).

Had a cop up my 'ss a few weeks ago (I guess he thought he had me, being heavy on the pedal coming out of the round-about prior to my next right-exit one on the way home, sorry buddy but dumping a bit of fuel to make some noise won't get you your ticket)... He didn't pick me up on my indicating, or anything else.

I've also replaced my front fog lights by LED DRLs (I showed how-to here, with relays and diodes, to turn them off with low beam on) so I'm confused why that might be a problem too.

Just one last thing, I've always tried to understand the speeding up thing when overtaking lanes appear.. I put it down to driver ability, where some people feel more confident to actually do the speed limit when there's two lanes in the one direction.. as annoying as it is. If I was in a junk vehicle, I'd not do that, so others can pass. But then there's eye sight and I suppose other things that are in play there.

People who give me the finger when they are stopping at green lights and I honk (it happens) or doing so when not taking off at a reasonable time when they go green (and I honk in a short press) is about the only thing that makes me think someone needs to reevaluate their road presence.

Now that'sa very interesting one.

My Ex was a Cop and they're taught to indicate to leave a roundabout not enter.

I was told to indicate in advance and turn accordingly.

She disagreed.

We aren't together.
