I'm looking at buying a used 1990 FORD CORSAIR from a dealer, it looks to be in ok shape and runs well. I was just wondering are there any common problems with that model. Thanks.

The problem is they are a pintara!!
Any corsair specific parts (mainly body) are worth a fortune (unlike the cars themselves). I'd steer well clear.

I was in new ford sales in the corsair days and ford were chucking a 4500 factory bonus at the corsairs to get rid of them thats about 25% of the new cost. you would think all stock would fly out the door ??? no it helped but it was still a hard slog selling them. that might give you some idea how "great " they were

The 2.4 in manual form was relatively quick stock (15.9 down the quarter) for the time. Faster then a 6-cyl VN and right on the heels of a manual 3.9 MPFI EA with the 2.92 LSD (15.8).

with the right bodykit and rims they would be a smart little cruiser and maybe even wipe the smile from the dial of a few rice boys or even P platers in v6 commodores man that would be so sweet i can just picture them crying into their monster tachos

If you really want a front wheel drive pie warmer
have a look around for a TX3 Laser instead. Much better than the Corsair. Good luck.

The 2.4 is pretty strong and reliable motor, and like said is pretty quick.
I think the 2.0 is a dual spark thing and isnt much chop.
