to be legal there needs to be a latch/switch or opening mechanism on the outside of the car.

How will you go about locking and unlocking the car if it doesn't have the key barrels on the outside... or will you still have them?

buy remote central risky i know! but there ugly and to me would kinda defeat the purpose of shaving the door which is to make it look simple and neat (which reminds me i better get a spare key and remote) anyway

Nice. It's good to see something original on a 10-year old Falcon. I really don't like the knob things though.. I'd go without anything and have solenoids and a manual rod hidden under the car/boot for emergency.

EA to EL all used the same doors. The main differences are EF/EL use different mirrors and door handles to earlier e-series

What would be intersting if it could be done is where in this pick you see the push rod coming through the trim, is around that spot put a hidden hinge setup, so the that you lift the bit of trim at the end and have that act as the handle.

Not sure if it could be done or it would be strong enough, you would need a clipping device for when you put it back down or spring type setup and you could stamp LIFT TO OPEN or simialar very neatly onto the trim?

looks good anyway good luck with it

The doors will look good, not to sure about the mechanism to open the door, looks a bit tacky for the hard work put in.

the mechanism to open the door has to be cleary visible and easy to operate otherwise it will not be legal.
this is for YOUR safety if you smash and need to be removed quickly.

Are there latches out there that could allow you to push in the door so that it pops out a little, then you pull the door out? A-la entertainment unit styles...

IE having remote locking, and these magnetic push/open thingies...

get soliniods attached to the door release rod and another solinoid or small hyprolic or electroic arm to put the door out a fraction thats what i would do

there are a few arms and devices to put out objects a small distance to open a door enuff to grab it,heaps of ways u can do it........

do that
would be awsome get a programable remote with 4 buttons for each door to they like $50
or some crap
we use em on garage doors for cbus systems but u can program em for anything ive been told by the programers!

I know that but you can still see the double sided tape for the EA-ED side mould was cause the EF-EL only had a skinny side mould that was at the top of the door indent so therefor there wouldn't be the double sided sticky tape on the bottem bit would there?
