Default Urgent!!! No s5 wire at pin 38?

Who knows why there's no S5 wire at pin 38 on my EB2 ECU...Need to find it to fit shift mod. resistors....Have got the 12v TCM wire at pin 57 tho...EB2 has the trans control module under the console too!!

well sing the TCU is under the consol, you need to find the S5 wire on the TCU not on the ECU

You have a V8 obviously

V8's S5 wire is pin 7 (green) and +12V wire is pin 29 (yellow/red)

PS it took me forever to hook up the simplest of kits: single stage non-switchable! I dunno why it took me so long! Well worth it though ;)

As for those who think I may be crazy for having it "on" all the time, it's only a very moderate setting, softer than the mechanicalforums.com circuit.

ahh sorry mate, don't know about the I6s :(

The circuit itself is simple. All you need is someone to say "that wire and that wire".

Good luck!

Are you sure its an EBII? You'll never find a EBII with the seperate trans ecu above the handbrake. Maybe your car is EBI?

Maybe he is trying to wire it up to his smartlock module?

I'm tellin ya's it's an EB2 cos i've got the original order sheet and manual with it...was delivered the 12/1992! The module i'm talking about is the one under the arm rest/storage box that you rest your arm on while drivin....It screws to a bracket on about a 45 deg angle under the p/wndws swicth ***. and i'm sure from memory it's got something about the trans on it....The only reason i'm asking about it is cos i read somewhere else that the eb2 had the seperate module.....And because there's no wire at pin 38 on the ECU connector!!! So now wot???

The thing your looking at is the cruise control ecu from memory. Your trans is definitly controled by the ecu which is on the passenger footwel under the cover. It might be possible that your looking at the plug the wrong way. On the ecu theres small numbers prinited on the plug itself, one side has 1, 21 and 41, the other side 20, 40, 60. follow those and you shouldnt have any trouble working out which pin you need. There is definitly an s5 solinoid wire there.

Also, you are partially correct when you say that EB2's have a trans controller. It is only in the V8's.

Anyway i've fitted the resi's and it works great, should have done it ages ago! Was wonderin if a 25 ohm resi instead of the 22 would just take out that hint of harshness??? Thanks for info fella's..... :sm_headba
