Default ED POD filter

just wanting to put a pod filter on my ED and was wondering if anyone has pics of there EA-ED with a pod filter?
and is it hard to pull out the old air filter??

nah its not the hard, just make sure when your buying the pod that the connection fits onto your car!. The box basically clips out, and you can either make a custom box to fit the pod in or just leave it. But it is illegal to have it exposed.

Get a K&N and get a intake pipe of a EA as there alot bigger then the ED,

im just going to leave it exposed for the looks but will have the box ready to put on.

you could make one up, wouldnt be that hard to use 3inch pipe bend it then get it cromed but asfar as i know they dont make them for ea-ed

ok yeah ill give it a go makin my own. damn coz my mates VL has a chrome pipe and its looks sweet. i might justr have to use stock intake pipe:(

red ed, I have a POD filter for sale.

It was in my ED Fairmont, and it fits on the standard ED pipe with a clamp.

I want $25 for the POD plus postage.

from what ive heard pods r only good for makin a good sound and for that to happen it needs to be exposed and that would draw in hot air from the engine bay

yeah there also ment to give you better throttle response but im not sure weather thats true or not.
ill have it exposed for looka and the sound but will try and make more cold air get to that part of the engine bay...........somehow.

just what ive heard. sounds like an interesting challenge. ever seen a air catcher/directer off a HDT VK commy? im thinkin u made need something along those lines folded from stainless to match the pipe u want. dunno howd u secure it tho...

ive just used a heat shield and the standard intake piping.....also you could get ome offset scoops on you bonnet to catch cold air, or make a braket for behind the front bar.....i got pics of mine on my site below...
