Hi,
Does anyone know of anywhere in Oz that i can get aftermarket discs/pads for a Focus? There's plenty on ebay.co.uk and after making a few enquiries, they want $180 just in shipping : Thanks, Mike |

You can get aftermarket rotors from Ford. I think they ended up putting Bendix rotors on my ST170 as I flat out refused to pay the ridiculous price they were asking for the genuine Ford product (which seem prone to warping anyway). From memory, I got both front rotors, including fitting for $280.

You can get grooved and dimpled rotors for the SVT focus (same as ST170) for a reasonable price, but I'm not sure if they are available in Australia. It's easy enough to buy them online though, and the postage may not be as bad as you think. I used to get all my ST170 stuff from CFM, and found their shipping prices to be quite reasonable. Thanks for all your help guys.
For your information, I got the following deal this morning after a good search on the internet. EBC TURBO Dimpled/Grooved Rotors - $176 for the Front (PAIR). EBC Green Stuff V4 Front Pad set - $161. This is far better than the quote from Ford - $764.60 for original replacements. I'll get the rotors/pads on Wednesday - Co. is: BDA Motorsport on the Gold Coast. Cheers, Mike |
