I know there was a cruise earlier this year, but a lot of us haven't got the time for a long drive (as much as we'd love it). Would anyone here from VIC be interested in a meet & greet? Grab a bite, swap some stories/details, and take lots of photos?

I think the Vic's need to improve their game a bit. Last NSW Euroford cruise consisted of over 15 cars.

There were three cars! It was more like a drive into the mountains.... Would be great if people actually committed to coming. We could easily have 15 cars and more, If only people would come! |

OK gang I've been working damn hard for a couple of months and avoiding everyone but Adam on the odd occasion.
We floated the idea of a Drive-In night in Coburg to see either "Cars" or "Fast N the Furious - Tokyo Drift" which means it won't involve too much driving, won't cost more than $20 including ticket and the obligatory Maccas dinner and would be a sensational night out for all. By now Adam is on the floor trying to gather his breath after realising that I have finally posted what I've been talking about for over a month! I'll post up a thread with a poll shortly once I get details of what movies and when they're planned, their website at the moment isn't very helpful and isn't telling what movies are coming, only what's there now. All up expect some time in late June or early July, $14 per head from memory for the ticket, We'll meet up somewhere nearby (I'll scope it all out) and drivei n together, then enjoy the night. Been on club drive-in nights before and it's sensational fun. That's one plan, low cost for all and not taking up a whole day which means we have the chance to get quite a few of us there! Beyond that, we'll start planning some more drives on weekends for the more adventurous, but only as long as more than the same 3 people turn up to each event. Stephen, you can hopefully come along with Angus and family to the drive-ins, not renovating at night are you?!?!! Talk to you all soon on a thread nearby!

The drive-in is a great idea (I won't have to take too much time away from the wife and kid). Please keep us posted on further developments.

Sorry guys, I'm not on here very much these days, kinda fallen out of the habit and subsequently forget the forums...
Alright. Official word on the street. www.fordxr5turbo.com are having a cruise along the Great Ocean Road on July 23rd (that's a Sunday). I have posted that I will be going, they will have one of almost every colour vehicle. Will be the first Vic meet of XR5 Turbos I believe. I will be there with my 3 door Mk I, showing off the heritage of the Focus!! At this stage, details are as follows. Will confirm over the next week as they finalise. http://www.fordxr5turbo.com/forum/index.php?topic=396.0 I'm also proposing that we do a drive-in night the night before, on Saturday 22nd. That way if you can attend one or the other, we get to see you and your car over the weekend! I'll start separate threads on each so we can arrange them as 2 separate cruises and invite the XR5 Turbo guys to our drive-in!

At this stage I will go to the drive-in night. As for the GOR cruz i will decide in the coming weeks. Have a car repayment that time of the month, and the car needs a major service soon.

I can't afford to pay for the Fiestas registration despite securing a weekend job. However, I'll ask mum if I could borrow her Focus for the night. It's all a 50/50 toss-up.
