Recalls -government website listing

Hey guys, I found an useful website. A govt dept listing all car recalls in Aus.
http://dynamic.dotars.gov.au/recalls/

It lists details of what the manufactures should do to fix problems. Do you reckon if it hasnt been fixed the manufacture still has to fix it, even after many years? I was lokkin at a defect with the sprint.
