Just want to know how to take out the tail lights of a focus. Have taken out the 3 bolts that sit on the inside of the boot but they don't release it completly.

You will find sealer behind them. Just be careful you dont pull to hard and brake the backing.

Three bolts?! Last time I checked there was only two... Anyhow, you need to pry it open and pull. So if you're doing the driver's side, looking towards the front of the car, pull it up from the left so that the tail light passes the boot sealer, then lift it towards the middle of the car. Might require a bit of jiggling, but it comes out eventually.

Yeah only 2 torx screws, and the only other thing to stop it being removed from the body is a guiding dowel/clip.
