Hi everyone,
I have a 98 S1 forte with the Tickford dual fuel and I would like to do a 5 speed conversion this year, is it possible? Could it be done by doing the resistor trick to the ecu? Also I would like to get a bit more up and go from it, it terms of performance & handling had it on the dyno and I'm making 104.1 kw @ the wheels on lpg and 102 on petrol stock. My plans are: -Hopefully T5 conversion - full exhaust... pacemaker PH4499 as they will fit with the gas convertor, cat and 2.5 cat back -diff centre change to 3.4.5 lsd -larger front sway bar possibly whitleline -eibach springs -better shocks....possibly the moroe gt sport ones - already put an XR6T snorkel and lukey panel filter Could anyone reccomend anything else or changes to plans Thanks

Yeah, the first thing to do is ditch one of the fuels, if you love the gas, go a strait gas set up.
Having it tuned to one type of fuel will give you a noticeable difference. Before you have it tuned, do your T5 conversion, your exhaust and diff. Whats your funds like? seems like your keen to throw some money at it. Get a new camshaft and some of the running gear, fairly inexpensive mod, if your going to do the tune anyway, that can be costly. My list if i started again with your car and your wants would be: -Lower it and shortened shocks (id go boge again, seem pretty decent for a decent price) -slotted rotors and good pads (or a s2/ba brake upgrade) -ditch gas or ditch fuel -full exhaust -t5 conversion, new cam and running gear -tune After that if your still not satisfied with the performance/handling then muck around with your diff gears and sway bars etc

Thanks robbyj,
Funds about $2-3k Yeah I'll most difinately run it on gas... would any good tuner be able to do this?? What cam would be compatible with the Tickford dual fuel? In terms of brakes I would like to go decent dba rotors, bendix srt pads, new braided brake line and some decent brake fluid... Just wanna make one good daily

ditch the duel fuel man, run strait gas. There's a few reputable tuners around, i have no experience with any but someone will be able to point you in the right direction.
Start working hard for $$ if you want to get everything on your list ;)
