Default Rear Windows

Hi all,
Read windows with most cars, now talking about my ED, the rear windows don't fully go down, is there anyway you can make them go right down flat? I heard its just a safety bar they put in for young kids, is this true and is it possible to do???

another thing, I want to put lights in the door handles in the interior in the Ed, is this possible to do? if so how do i go about doing it?

No E-series rear windows go fully into the door. I wouldn't recommend hacking into the door to make it go lower, so that's something you'll have to live with

Yeah I know none of them do, just thought it was a simple bar or device that you could remove so it could go straight down, just like the front ones,
thanks

I believe the window rails need to be lengthened aswell as changing over the winder mechanism..

As for the interor handle lights i have just finished doing mine.. i just picked up some 3mm blue leds fro jaycar with current limiting resistors.. costs around $15 for 4 leds, resistors and wire..

Came up awesome.. I will get some pics once the rest of the interior is done..

Cheers,
Nik

You said you seen the EF handles done with lights, its the same for ED handles.

Have you seen the tutioral on fordmods.com?

Also are you talking about interior or exterior handles?

$15 for 4 LED's, resistors and the rest of it! Were they the super bright LED's? I got about 7 blue LED's (not the super bright ones, just normal ones), pack of resistors and heat shrink from Jaycar for $17.

LOL.. yer the brightest 3mm blue ones that we stock.. plus i got blingy chrome bezels for them..

I am actually thinking of changing to the multicoloured leds.. i will make a controller to put on my dash which allows me to change there colour to watever colour i want by adjusting the brightness of the red/green/blue..

They retail for about $6 per led.. Its gonna be pretty awesome..

Cheers,
Nik

It is completely possible. The whole EF/EL door trims will fit. You'll just need to modify the metal rod that connects to the door handles

I don't think it would be too big a job. I think rmyers, MADNC_8, MrCrackers, and EA2BA have all done it (although EA2BA went a bit more extreme by going for BA doorhandles in modified EF/EL doortrims)
