Serious question guys.
When I do doughies in my EL Ghia it vibrates like crazy when you swing in to a loop, unless you countersteer straight after you pull the 180, in which case if you're trying to do figure 8's it goes all unco. What causes this and how can you fix it. Just wanting to know because I'm thinking of taking it in to Drag Tag on a wet Friday night and promoting the E-Series boys, but I don't want it to be shuddering around. : Sundeep |

Well if this was a sensible legal activity when you were getting wheel vibration I would have suggested a wheel balance, but if you were doing something you shouldn't be doing on a public road (or place)... in that case, i hope you local policeman knows where you live.
My guess is option B

My guess is you should still be cutting the rust out of your XB or buying tins of bog.
I didn't ask for opinions or theories on when or where I was having a crack, I'm asking for a solution to a problem. Sundeep |

What if I go to Deca or Drag Tag Juzzy? That's the point. I don't wanna go there, cut some loops then come home and replace all my front end bushes.
What are the cops gunna do? Defect me on a burnout pad at Drag Tag, pull me over on the Deca skid pan? Sundeep |

Like no one on here has ever thrown some doughies cept mr dose...... come on people, he said it was in a controlled environment..
How are all the bushes in the car? Like the trailing arm bushes etc? What about your harmonic balancer? What bout your engine mounts? Is the pan wet down? you get out there while its all dry?

EA/B definately do better circle work than EF/L, has to do with the revised diff setup in the later ones. Anyone ever noticed the different pivot point on the diff centre plate between the two series....
After owning several models of each, the earlier ones are a lot more tail happy, part of the reason i settled on an earlier one. ^ Said dougnuts above are one a controlled pan, i dont see where the problem is? Is it still boy racerish when i get out there and rip it up in a big block camaro? Isnt this a lot of the drawcard people go to the big shows like summernats/easternats etc for? I love hearing a tough car at ful noise cutting sick. At least you guys down south have sufficient 'events' to go do this stuff at. On a side note, is powercruise for 'boy racers?'

Didn't Gilly explain that? Private factories, videos to back up.
I'm trying to keep this thread on topic and without sh|tfights but no doubt there's always a dumb **** like you Juzzy . I was alright till you said "******". Now this thread's going to ****. Go to a porn site and smash one off. BTW I said "thinking about" because I don't want to go UNTIL I have a solution to the problem... and in the mean time that is stopping me from doing it at the private property as well, so OMG the concrete in the car park is safe. Where in the fist post does it say that this was done legally????
It says that he is thinking about going down to drag tag, but that does not explain how or where he has been doing it.... |
