Ahhh, these are the keywords.
"This is a great mod for any car, and could give you up to 20 more hp. It could also give you 70hp, or even 500hp! Depending on how gulible you are, of course. (Ps: Anyone who photoshops rockets on the back of a Skyline needs a kick in the face) |

Hey people i think he is talking about a simple potentiometer i used one when i had my 1521a wade cam but i put it on the temp sensor in the block thus making the ecu think it was cold and pouring more fuel in as if it was in cold start mode all the time however the fuel usage well and truely outweighed any or should i say if gains hope this helps you guys out. It is a very common thing to do to jap cars also if you want cheap crappy ecu mods.

With doing it to the map sensor i dont know what would happen as i did it to the cold start sensor and after 3 days of running it found i used so much fuel i removed it but going by the o2 reading it was running rich as fa rrrrrrk so the ecu doesnt re ajust in 3 days i would be surprised if it did. most of your real cheap jap piggy back systems do similar to adding a pot only it is electronic rather than crude like a pot but id be interested to know how smart a ford ecu is in respect to adjusting itself due to as much as it changes you still have a differant voltage reading being sent to it id say by ading a pot and purely my thaughts but id say it wouldnt be smart enough to compensate. At the end of the day my advice is still the same if you want results fork out and get a proper aftermarket comp and get it tuned well. As to getting 20hp out of a stock motor by ading fuel i dont beleive it anyway as a stock ford runs enough fuel for small amounts of mods anyway.

Would you trust a person selling bulk stuff with you engine?
One cheap mod could cost you 1 expensive motor. Id spend that money on a good car wash as this will make the paint smooth and more aerodynamic thus making the car have 20 more HP and better fuel economy!

Washing the car gives 20 hp (at the wheels) and waxing gives a healthy boost to 28hp. We are so confident in this method that you don’t even have to change the oil! In fact you should put sand in your petrol tank!

Yes & I bet if you ask him if it will work on your bog stock XC (or any car that definitely doesnt come with EFI) Falcon he would probably say yes it would.
