Ok guys,
We all know we make lists of plans we are going to do to our cars, whether it be written down or in our heads.. Time to write them down here..! So what have you got planned for your AU in 2013..?

May sell it :(
All it does these days is tow the trailer to Bunnings or gets used when kids come down from Mount Isa. We'll replace my wife's Golf early next year so may keep that as the family runaround. I guess I just don't like to see the AU sitting around neglected. It's been a great car.

Replace all rear bushes. Maybe look at a new head unit with the connector for the steering wheel buttons.
Fiddly jobs like the light for the a/c and clock. Some straight jackets to replace the seat belts at the back. Found a half eaten chuppa chup stuck to the carpet the other day. My kids know nothing about it... |

The LTD
Install the correct speedo gear which always seems to get put off. Upgrade exhaust to 2.5" custom twin. Maybe upgrade speakers from the factory units. Run a 13s quarter at AFF Dragnats in June. Retune transmission shift points in Perf mode - mainly kickback shifts. Service and flush the trans. Maybe not 2013, but some AFR heads and maybe a cam are planned as well. The Futura Get it on the road and retire the LTD from Daily duties. Cheers Stu

Well, I had a bit of a think of what I want to do next year..
I came up with a little list.. -Clean and paint front and rear discs and calipers. -Condition seats and detail interior. -Clay, cut, polish and wax exterior. -Buy and fit boot lip spoiler that JR and Fibresports are working on. -Fit bonnet bulge and repaint bonnet. -Finally paint headlight bezels in body colour. -Replace factory speakers with aftermarket ones. -Fit all factory T-series decals that I have already purchased. -Service engine, trans and diff. -Wheel Alignment. -ENJOY..!!

JR, have a set of BA XR8 18's for sale at the moment, might be a cheaper option than refinishing your existing ones: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11379446

To buy one
I have my eye on a few, and with any luck I'll be driving a series 2 or 3 XR8 by my birthday in mid January.

Well figured we should have a look back at what our 2012 Plans were and how we went before jumping into planning for 2013...
So here is what I had planned: - Fit the entire stereo (really do sub box, fiberglass rear trim tobfit 6x9's) - Replace the rear shocks So I now have a new list of things to do for the year 2013: - Finish on the stereo install (power connected to battery terminal and rear speakers) - Replace the rear shocks (Maybe but not urgent) - Fit the front Fairmont lip, New bonnet and get the front end resprayed - Get custom twin exhaust fitted...Still pondering different configurations. - Give the car a full service - Finish off setting up the moates quaterhorse and start tunning the car my self. - If there is any time left start stripping down and rebuilding my spare V8 and then swapping it into the wagon... That should certainly keep me well and truly busy :/

G'day Guys,
plans for my stock galaxy blue AU1 Futura over the next year are - replace door trim grab handles & steering wheel - dodgy paint worn off fix some lights in my stock radio & heater controls replace all cooling system pipes (yes some are stock still!) replace stock mags with something more "stylish", aka BA Ghia spoked mags source & fit some new shocks & xr height springs allround source & fit custom rear lip spoiler (stock options imo not good enough!) source & fit series 3 side skirts source & fit XR or Fairmont bumper bar lip's Since my new reco transmission (thanks TAT's) is out of warranty recently - source, fit some cheap extractors & exhaust fit mild cam (not sure on this one - i value my fuel economy as it is lol!) source & fit another cylinder head (port & polished, new valve springs?) source & fit j3 chip to suit my mods (manual transmission conversion?) (dream mod- shedding 100 kg! ) Im super impressed with the reliability of our AU's, my car has just hit 300,000 kays and the only major thing's that needed replacing was the btr (auto transmission) & for piece of mind, the radiator. I love my Au as it is- its a great cruiser & with the mods ive got planned my AU will provide some cheap fun & last another 10 years! p's boxing day beer's always go down well cheers, Maka

Do you have a build thread for that?
My list for 2013 is simply to replace the donk that died last month from a sudden total loss of oil pressure. No-one near me will take on an XR6T transplant, so a V8 transplant with the Raptor grafted onto it and perhaps an SVI install is looking like a good option. Looks like V8 wagon springs are the same as I6 ones, which helps. Been talking to the QH guru about tuning, doesn't seem too bad. I guess I'll need a V8 ute tailshaft? Ohh, yes... I need to install a speedo gear to suit the 3.73 LSD (or a Jaycar signal bender).
