It is amazing. I would kill for that in a Falcon.
As much as Miami is an awesome street engine Im yet to see/hear of any that can go prolonged distances on a circuit with corners. But to be fair it wasnt really designed for that. This thing though..wow. Have they said if it will be available via Ford Racing?

I wonder how hard they'll be pushing these into racing. It has to share the spotlight with the Ecoboost V6 now after all.

Come on Global Ford, get this sorted for RHD so we can enjoy it here without the need to go through a conversion company.

They can race Mustangs with this engine. The V6 EcoBoost won't be a Mustang race engine.

Previously though they only raced the 5L. Now they've got the 3.2 in USCC and either that or a modified 3.5 will be the WSC engine. Whatever Mustangs race won't be getting as much development anymore unless Ford intend to up their spending.

But Mustangs should remain in GT racing, and maybe Ford will get more serious about that. The Coyote 5.0 was developed through Grand Am racing prior to its debut on the street. Like it or not, V8s are going away. DTM will switch to turbo fours in 2017. V8 Supercars will likely drop "V8" within a few years. Drag racers and NASCAR may be the last V8 holdouts.

I'd like to hear the cross plane engine. Yamaha have them in the R1 & they sound great, A V8 would sound hot

It's the R model. What would they do to modify it?

A 'standard' V8 is a cross plane V8. This is a flat plane V8 with some tricky exhaust design to help it sound more like the cross plane V8 as a flat plane V8 generally sounds like a high revving 4 cylinder- as Ferrari V8s do.
