Default au m2 2000

hi guys,
a friend borrowed my car and it came back with a s in a circle on the dash above the trip metre.... I thought it was the service thingy but i couldnt get it off.. I held the trip metre down and turned the power on without starting the car.... it didnt work... help its driving me nuts

hold down the SEEK button on your steering wheel for a few seconds, this is your speed alert function. One look at your owners manual would have done the trick. If you turn it back on you can adjust the speed you want with your volume buttons, once you go over the selected speed the vehicle will warn you that you are going over.......... It will then make a call to the police automatically and a speeding fine will be sent in the mail. ...but seriously that is what it is.

Just as a side note for people who do not know, the BA falcon also has this feature and it is located on the MODE button on the LHS of your steering wheel. :

Found this out the other day in the new car, was like wtf? Then worked it out.
