not wanting to start any forum rivalry or anything, but I wonder if the old ff will go the same way as the ls1.com (not to be confused with the .au site)site has when compared to the ls2.com site that was formed by the former ls1.com admin team.......

I thought the ls2 site moved from the .com when the ls1 site upped the anti on the .au, or was that the .au started shortly after the .com :yeees:

the ls1.com.au site starting was just a couple of the aussies deciding to start up on their own..

the ls2.com was created by "the 3 E's" after numerous breaches of promise by the ls1.com owner. something to do with not paying hosting servies when he said he would, jumping to new hosting providers, sucking all the money out for his own use etc. the admins and mods became concerned at what was happening and started to put in motion their future action (starting ls2.com) and then overnight they found themelves being kicked off. It became very ugly there for a while..

Ls1.com continued on as a shadow of it's former self, but recently due to the bills not being paid again, the hoster deleted the site and apparantly there were no offsite backups so it appears the site is gone for good.

LS2.com has gone from strength to strength and with the help of the mod staff continues to grow.. some of zed's tweaks to the forum software are legendary.. no need to ban people when you can ghost them, berzerk them or happee mod them.. (not sure what happens with them, but do know that not being able to read posts, everything blurry and having gayish avitars changing all the time are some of the effects.)

Afraid of the competition. Jealous of it's success.

i put a subtle addition to my signature on the old forum before i left, a blank picture measuring 30,000x30,000 pixels. and it's still there. if the site allows signature pictures, why not use that privledge!

assured to suddenly space out any old thread a post of mine is in :voldar02:
