If I remove the battery from my EL to charge it I will reset the radio and will need a code and I would also reset the ecu's fuel to air ratios wouldn't I ?
Is there anyway around this so i don't reset anything, like charging the battery while still connected to the car or something without damaging anything ? |

Charging batteries connected to cars kills diodes in alternators.

I've connected my small 4A charger many times with no problems. The big chargers like they have in garages that pump 50A could cause problems. The small chargers usually need overnight though

I think my charger is only 1.6 amps and it always does the job. It has an LED indicating full charge and will not overcharge (so I'm told). Was one of the best $50 I ever spent.
