Your welcome too! Will only have std petrol and a TDCi to start with!

Anyone is welcome to come and take one for a quick spin!(without going stupid)

But please if i can keep to the people who are "serioulsy" considering purchasing one for the Day/overnight drives!

These cars are going to be in very limited supply for a while and i want to keep the klm off new car stock I can only have 2 demonstrators and have two dealerships to cater for. Logistic's can pose a problem so patience mabye required!

Cheers
Andrew

So the only manual will be the XR5? Do you have prices and what spec level the XR5 is?

Sounds awesome!! Been waiting for this car for ages. The old man will be happy. He was waiting for an XR5 to be released so should be sweet!

sounds good but it's a shame the lesser models don't come with a manual gearbox

What happened to a Ghia version. Are Ford trying to keep the Mondeo specced belong the Falcon to avoid cross shopping. Good price though, I hope it sells well to rub Holdens nose in it after they said it would be too expensive to sell in reasonable numbers.

Phoonfan, are brought in Sydney port or Melbourne?

My guess with the Euro version is that they can't localise the model ie built in GPS, traffic RDS-TMC data might not be able to disabled, or they might not have Aussie maps yet.

Sorry mate, not quite sure of your question... but the cars are dropped at ports all over Australia..

Ghia didnt make the line original line up! I think its a bit of a "suck it and see" model for Ford, see how it sells then expand the range if required! Good news is its easy to do, Ghia, Wagon, Manuals etc!!

Just have to wait and see what happens!

looks great, the pricing should make people take notice!

Is that a 6-speed auto? Sequential shift?

At 30k for the base model, it makes me want to sell my Focus for it. Good pricing there. Should be able to eat the Holdens for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

You cannot compare the Mondeo to the holden equivalant because thats just it,there is none. The Epica is a Korean made budget car,as with the viva and barina. These cars are aiming at the budget side of the market and cost concious buyers, buyers who do not care about a car's dynamics.
The Mondeo should be compared to the likes of Mazda 6,Subura liberty 2.0,In some cases the Camry and even the Honda Accord Euro(Or wide bodied version in the case of lX)

No manual except for the Xr-5 is the only draw back for me and from the pictures maybe the rear end styling.

Does this mean that you know we can get leather seats?
Would it be an option for the Zetec and TDCi like the Focus?

Can't wait to get behind one...

So much to decide on before next year it's making me nutz. Mondeo Diesel, runout BFII XR6, or a 2yr old SY AWD Territory Ghia... All really nice cars, all have their features and benefits... Ah well, at least I know it's going to be a Ford :P

Please Phoonfan, if you want to expand on above and fill us with as much info as you can - feel free!! : hehe
