Default Price check

How much can I realistically expect for my 1999 AU Futura, 130,000kms, Pics can be found in the for sale section.

Input would be appreciated.

Cheers Scott

Hey mate.
Well I picked up my 99 AU Forte, with 123,000kms, last June for $7700, which I think was a bit of a bargin. It is optioned with ABS and Dual airbags, so other than cruise control it is similar to your Futura. I personally believe you can get the $8300 you want for it, if your willing to wait a bit. If you are after a quick sale, you might want to consider knocking a few hundred off. Nice looking car tho! I'll be interested to see what others say as my Forte has done 131000kms now. Good luck with it anyway...

Just go here and see what everyone else will do to check whether your car is worth what you are asking.

haha, i went to carsguide and valued it using their Red Book section. It puts the '99 AU Futura at $7600 - $10000 for priv sale and $5600 - $6900 Trade in price. Averaging bw 120,000 and 150,000km. Realistically, i've found in the past you can knock a grand or so off that price, and you'll be in the ball park. Good luck.

Its very depressing! If you bought one new like me you'd be thinking thats the last new ford I will ever buy mainly becuse the resale is so poor I will never be able to afford another new one. A flash git mat of ine bought a boxster and even at $100k the resale is that good his cost of ownership is lower than mine. Of course i didn't have a $100k to start with so its a moot point but...

Cheers guys, yeah I've already researched what other Au owners are looking for price wise. I was just interested to see if they were getting close to there asking price and how much the market is actually paying for them.

Other AU's have similiar prices on them, doesn't mean they're getting what they're asking.

Thanks

Dealers have offered $8-$9K and got knocked back on one I know of.

Yes its a sad price for a nice wagon but thats what the market feels about fuel hungry v8 wagons. Diesel 4wd's are the go they would rather trade one of those.
