Default So who is braving boxing day sales?

Well we thought we would go and brave the sales. Was first in line at Harvey Norman (we only got there 10mins before opening) I found a soft serve icecream machine, waited till I was next to be served and decided not to bother and left. In the 20mins we were there the whole car park filled up and people were parking on grass etc. On to the local mall, EB was not open yet so went into K-Mart, walked in and saw you would lose 1yr of your life waiting in line lol, so walked out. As I waited for EB to open another 50 people joined me, thankfully I knew what I was there for and when they opened walked in grabbed my stuff, got served and left. We walked past only 10mins later and both tills had lines out the door.

So did anyone else brave the boxing day sales and if so did you get a bargain?

I got

NFS Hot Pursuit $68
Medal of Honour $68
F1 2010 $88
New play and charge kit (my 4th in 3 yrs, not sure what happens to mine) $34

I drove past Harbourtown at about 1pm, and it looked like it was a free-for-all, park where you find a spot whether it be a proper spot or not type of thing.

I did want to stop in at the Maccas there but decided against waiting 10 minutes to get through the carpark and an hour to find a park.

You used the word "cheap" in a sentence about shopping at DJ's.

Please try again.

Went to bing lee, got me an Olympus camera for $139 and $24 for an 8GB SD card ( i think) and also bought a Lumix with a 4GB card for gran aswell for $120.
Then went to JB HI FI, got me a pair of 6.5" Alpine Type R's for a beautiful $160 !

Had a detour to Annaconda and bought me a 150psi air compressor for $90 and a bloody tough as shovel for $40. Bought some fishing gear aswell which totalled $50 which im actually impressed with.

Good stuff

Yeah I know DJ's is quite pricy but there must be cheap stuff there(relatively) and seeing as I've never shopped there I don't know much about the place. I have a gift voucher for $100 and have some coin handy as well. Was thinking of cologne or a watch.

Is there more than one or is this the one on the GC ?.

The Dragon Lady made me promise to take her back there when we go up in Feb. Maybe they'll be all sold out and have to close up....yeah right!

Boxing day sales? Not here, everything is closed!

Nah Gas, it's the shopping complex near the bay in Adelaide, it's got some ok shops but is a head-intercourse at the best of times.

Most stuff in Newcastle was still closed. Went to Dj's with the missus, pretty busy but not too bad considering that it was the only large store open in the whole city I think.

No. I looked between my legs and given my disposition, I decided that I'd rather spend the day watching sport and taking it easy.
Saw a great NFL match between Dallas and Arizona, as well as the NBA match between Boston and Orlando.
