i cant give u any advice on the brakes.
but for diff. and engine. the engine swap is not easy, but its a walk in the park compared to other cars. the hilux diff is a great option that i would go for and can definately handle the power. see if you can get a disk brake rear end while your at it. good luck |

I think the Escort rally boys use a skyline diff which comes with disc brake rear end and maybe 5 stud pattern (unsure). You can buy a big brake kit off ebay for about $800 which uses falcon vented discs and alloy duel piston calipers (i think) Requires 15 inch rims and 5 stud conversion....Which you'll probably want to do with that rice-cooker.

hilux diff for an Eski ur prob chasing a RN20 one... theyre 1370mm drum face 2 drum face.
as for disc brakes. MA70 Supra discs/ calipers... with a bracket.. and a bit of playing with the backing plate == hey presto.. i cut out caliper mounts for the conversion.. on the toymods site theyres a few good threads on the process of putting the discs on the diff.. |

rn20 diff are bloody hard to come by!! and when they do they fetch good $$$
Just got my hands on an maybe rn 85 or something??? its a bit wider but thinking bout moving the spring perches in to fit the escort, then fitting post au falcon offset rims so the sit back under the guards...gotta do some measuring but its an idea... Hmm just read the ma70 disc conversion on the toymods site...seems parts are getting a little hard to find aswell.. Another post was for fitting r31-33 skyline disc and callipers. So i called someone in the know-Craft differentials at granville in new south wales. They said they have done many cut downs on this diff if needed and also can do a disc brake conversion. Total to cut down diff and change to disc brakes $1500. hmm or i can try it myself.. What do you guys think, hey p100 you still got any of thoses brackets?? how much?? Cheers guys Barney |

I'm gonna go with a rn85 diff and fit post au falcon offset which not sure yet might fit back under the guards...if not maybe flaring... Do those brackets fit the r31 callipers to the diff or only the the supra ones?? cheers Quote:
