Question Prices

I was at the mechanics to get the lifters done today which came to $272.76 for the part and $120.00 labor for 2 hours was this a good price to pay?
As while the car was down there the went over the car and found a few things that need attention to

gas leaking from air compressor
rear swaybar rubbers
front swaybar rubbers
rear up and lower trailing arm bushes
both engine mounts
gearbox mount
tail pipe starting to rust out
a/c belt

how much would this all cost to get fix using ford parts all at once

any help
matt

p.s tried ring ford and they were no help

Thats just about an impossible question mate. Get your mechanic to quote you. You might need a whole new A/C compressor or just the top seals... its very hard to diagnose over the net.

If you find a good supplier for the rubbers and belt then that hsouldnt set you back more than around 100-150.

Dont bother with a "genuine" Ford tailpipe man, its just a metal pipe. Either get one from the wreckers for 10-20bucks or spend the money on a Lukey system or somehting that sounds nicer than stock.

Cant help with air compressor sorry, could just be seals and could be the whole compressor htat needs replacing. Either way not too expensive when sourcing form the wreckers.

Mechanics love to charge people overprice for the parts though. Maybe youre mechanics nice but thats my experience
