Wow, seen a lot of lightning storms in my life, and had lightning strike a tree 20m from me as a kid in Padthaway, but honestly don't recall a storm like this one in Adelaide right now where the lightning is literally non-stop.
My kid's netball gets cancelled if there are 2 lightning bolts within a minute - was abandoned pretty quick tonight. Going to be some awesome pics doing the rounds tomorrow - last 2 hours it would be harder to have taken a pic without lightning than take a pic with lightning. |

Proceeding high winds, dust, pollen and grass seed is a deadly combination for some Asthmatics. Just like 4 years ago, killing 10 people.

These sorts of phenomena all play havoc with those who suffer asthma or even hayfever (n to the same degree, obviously). The air would likely be cleaner after the storm has passed, but the passing of the storm is where the danger lies.

When it started I had to run out and put the bins out. Only got the first one out then lost my nerve and went back inside.
The dog spent the rest of the night trying to sit on my neck, petrified of the noise.
