Default Colour

Hi all, I don't know if this belongs in the technical section or not so sorry if it is in the wrong section.

Now to the subject of my post, I was looking through the EA-ED Pics. in the Show 'n' Shine and I was wondering what colour John_XR6's(Now John_LS1) ED was as I fell in love with it.

Here is the picture

Thanks in advance,
Rick

Yep, definately Cobalt. It came out with the EB GT and then continued on with the EDs

BTW. John doesn't own it anymore. It's gone through a couple of owners since then.

Thanks guys, I really wanted to know as I want to get an EA-D and that colour just stood out to me. When I get one I'd love it to be either Cobalt Blue, Burgundy or Dark Green.

Thanks again,
Rick

P.S I should have known that it was a Cobalt Blue as my mum has a VY Commodore in Delft Blue which is a Cobalt Blue.

I don't mind marine blue(Especially on your car) although I wouldn't have it(Too light).
Speaking of marine blue, my mum's old EB wagon was marine blue, it served us well for the 10 years we had it then the valve stem seals decided to leak, then the transmission started to slip and the final straw was the starter motor threw the towel in. All of this happened in the time frame of about 1 week so we didn't get time to fix anything and when we found out it would cost almost 5 grand to get it back on the road we decided to get it towed, such a shame as the body and paint were mint although the paint could have used a good polish to really bring out the shine.

As for black I would love to get one but it would most probably cost more and my dad hates black cars(Even though he has owned four black cars) and would whinge about it constantly or at least when it was dirty(Not that it would be dirty very often).

As for white and silver, I wouldn't personally own a light coloured E-Series.

Thanks again,
Rick

He'll kill one as a warning to the other two... Hard drives that is, I certainly hope there aren't 3 Dezza's roaming South Oakleigh :

There are some strange factory colours... The quartz ED I had looked mint when it was all polished up.

Pearl Black is definatly a favorite, cardinal is a bit meh, but its grown on me since owning the NF... Sparkling Burgandy is a winner, even more so when its on an ELGT

I remember seeing years ago, an EB1 XR8 painted an ultra bright sky blue... it was apparently factory, never seen that colour since...
