What would be the point? It's not the first time in automotive history a manufacturer has used a model abbreviation from another. Think of the Pontiac GTO, and where the GTO name came from.
I would hate for Holden to sue Toyota over something so trivial really. |

yeah i guess, but ford sued ferrari for using the f350 or what it was, i just thought that keeping your model names to yourself would be a must for different manufactors, i never knew that toyota also used fj until i saw this ugly thing just before, then it made me think

Ford were using the name F350 - Holden have not used the name FJ for decades.
Maybe Holden should have sued Valiant then too. |

f-150 is an actual name of a car, same as falcon, fairmont etc.
fj is just a model name, like xa, fg etc. there is a difference |

Yeah it was F150, not F350. The Ferrari F350 will have dual rear wheels, with increased payload and towing capacity.

Holden don’t have spare cash to burn trying to sue one of the world’s richest car makers over something like this. Also, I doubt that some cardigan wearing numtie who’s looking at new Toyota would even know what an FJ was.
For Holden to be successful, there would have to be a clear case that Holden a buyers were mistakenly duped into walking into a Toyota showroom looking for an old FJ and we all know that’s highly unlikely. Besides, the original FJ had more style and character than any Toyota could ever have.

Sue them for making an ugly car, I have seen the ad and the new FJ series is a complete shocker, the front end is just plain wrong.

Maybe GM should sue toyota for making a really poor attempt at a hummer front end.

I like the new FJ, great alternative to medium SUV's and this one can actually go offroad!
